Ruth is a wonderful book with much to teach us. The book is one way God teaches us about redemption in the Bible and He does so in a detailed way via the life of Ruth. God also provides a fantastic illustration for the relationship between Jesus Christ and us, the Church, through the relationship of Boaz and Ruth.

Benefits of the Resurrection – Divine Nature

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

April 15, 2010

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ God has given us all things to live in godliness. We are given a full share of all the things that pertain to godliness, such as wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. On top of those things, we are given the 9 manifestations of the Holy Spirit to enable a powerful walk. We are also called to take up Christ’s work; we are given the ministry of reconciliation. We were dead, we were one way but God made us another way, he has made us alive.

Peace through Christ

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Jesus Christ bought back our lives from the thief, from the devil. His payment was his perfect, unblemished blood. He was our ransom and our redemption; through him we are now justified in the sight of God. There is no emnity, no middle partition between us and God because of Jesus’ work. And not only are we righteous and justified before God, but we have peace and access with and to God, so much so that God declares we have boldness in our access to him. Amen!

Why Jesus Christ? The need for redemption

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

October 29, 2009

Jesus Christ is our savior but why does man need a savior? Because of Adam’s transgression regarding God’s commandment, man no longer had the loving relationship with God he was intended; moreover man was now subject unto the devil and unto death. God was not one to destroy, instead he worked up the plan of redemption, that through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the spilling of his blood, man’s ransom would be payed and fulfilled. Our covenant with God now is not one of flesh and works such as the law was, but now is an eternal one, based on faith wherein we are called God’s children and fellow heirs with Jesus Christ. This is the need that man has for Jesus Christ, that man may have a relationship with God and no longer be subject to the Devil.
