II John

If you’ve ever wanted to have a glimpse back into the early Church, II John provides such a view. Here, in our study, we see that the 1st Century – much like today’s Church – had problems. To us, this can be encouraging because God did so much with those Believers then inspite of their imperfections, God can do that with us too, in our day.
Whether this epistle is written to an actual lady or if that “elect lady” is a codename for a Church – we find in our examination of II John that this study holds tremendous understanding and application to our lives as 21st Century Believers.

In verses 5-6 we see an elect lady commanded.
In verses 7-11 we see an elect lady cautioned.
In verses 12-13 we see an elect lady comforted.
