The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

God has set apart His son, glorified him above all other men, through the resurrection of the dead. It is through Christ’s resurrection from the dead that all men are saved and how we have been reconciled to God. Through Christ’s resurrection we are shown that God has power over death, and not only that but we are also called unto a lively hope, the hope that God will not leave us unto death.

Jesus vs Death: His accomplishment for us

Joey lays out Jesus’ accomplishment vs death and how it affects those who believe on Jesus.

Verses:
I Corinthians 15:26 – The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
Hebrews 2:14 – The Devil, our enemy, has the power of death.
Romans 5:12-13 – Death is the human condition
Hebrews 4:14-16 – Jesus was without sin even though he was tempted in all manners.
John 7:25-30 – Christ says they don’t know him so they don’t know God. Death had no power over Jesus.
John 8:55-59 – Death had no power over Jesus.
John 10:14-18 – No man could take life from Jesus. Only he could give up his life.
Luke 22:39-47 – Christ knew what was in store for him. He asked God to take it away but “not my will but thy will be done.”
Acts 2:22-24 – Jesus died so that we could be saved!
I Corinthians 15:51-57 – The Return: part of our reward will be that the dead shall be raised and those who are alive will be caught up with Christ. This is one reason why Jesus came
