The Blessed Man, The Humble Man

Pslam 1 lays out the foundation for a blessed man. Avoid ungodly conversation; meditate (constantly chewing) on the Word of God; be not like the ungodly wo have no fruit but dry up and blow away.

Psalm 1:1-6

Humility is one of God’s pronouncements of what brings Him joy! He exclaims over and over how the humble shall truely inherit His kingdom. Humility is the act of accepting God’s commandments as a child does, which is unassuming and trusting. We don’t need to have conditions met or a plan to do God’s commandments; be humble and just do. Delight in the Lord, put away our earthly prides, throw ourselves before the Lord and look up into His face; these things are being humble and which will cause us to be exalted!

Vision for the modern Christian Church

Acts 19 declares the wonderful movement of the Word of God in the early first century church. With a beginning of around a dozen believers the Word ends up reaching all ears in Asia, a remarkable feat and a testimate to the power and truth of God’s word. It is only thus that this chapter should serve as a modern text book on how we can grow the Church mightly. When we receive the Word we must speak it boldly and not be discuraged when people do not believe and not be surprised when people do! When we speak the word, signs will follow and all will be to the glory of God. We must also check our own hearts to see if there is anything standing in the way of having a burning relationship with the Lord. When we do these things it is possible that the Word of God will grow mightly and prevail.

Christian Giving

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

January 13, 2011

Christian giving is based upon the love that God has shown each and every one of us. He gave us the perfect example of giving and love via the sacrifice of His son Jersus Christ. He has given us everything that we have, money, time, cheer, joy, sorrow, patience, life, so that we may give to others and bring glory to God. Whatever we give God will multiply; He is the one that brings the fruit to pass, not us. We have to be willing to give but that is an easy thing when we realize all we have is His.

Our God is Faithful

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

January 6, 2011

Our God is faithful to his promises throughout eternity no matter the circumstances. Time and time again Israel left and returned to God and He was always there to receive them upon their return. He has made promises to us and receives us the same way He did the Israelites. It is our choice to seek God and when we do we will find Him and He will hear us and will carry us from captivity, whatever that ensnarement may be. God is not weary but is faithful and will keep us from evil.
