Daniel 11

The Book of Daniel gives critics of the Bible a huge problem – because it is fulfilled so exactly in history. Written in approximately 600 BC, Daniel 11 prophecies about many events that we, with the benefit of hindsight, can see them come to pass exactly according to Scripture. From Xerxes I to the Maccabees, this teaching examines an amazing prophecy given by which the power and accuracy of God’s Word is so plainly seen.

Acts 4: It is God Who Gives Us Strength

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

In Acts 4, we see God working with Peter and John in the face of hardship. It is an example of God’s deliverance as we stand for Him in the midst of persecution. Christians are certainly not immune to persecution but our God is greater than the persecutor. By studying God’s Word and standing together with other believers, we can continue speaking the Truth even when it is difficult.

1 Corinthians 7

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

The previous chapter in I Corinthians (chapter 6) the believers were reminded that they belong to God, that they’d been bought with a price. In being God’s property, they were not to join themselves to sinful practices, but rather walk rightly with God. This is the heart of Corinthians reproof.
In Chapter 7 we see that the Corinthian believers had written to Paul converning different practical matters of daily life including sex, marriage, divorce, circumcision and the freedom we now have as believers. In this chapter, God via Paul answers those questions.
